For the 6th time a dedicated group of people awoke before dawn to organize a yellow ribbon hanging to bring a heightened awareness of those who have served and those who are currently enlisted and deployed. The Honor Group does this to Honor those men and women who volunteer to defend our freedom. These ribbons are hung for 6 weeks and a special permit is secured for this activity. For the past two years the ribbons were removed prematurely and the media was alerted and came out to share in the discovery.

Local news groups such as KCRA broadcasted a story about the removal but also to educate the region as to why The Honor Group hangs these ribbons. The Auburn Journal published stories as well:
