Sgt. Charlie Linville U.S. Marines

We had the honor to meet and film Sgt. Charlie Linville and his family while he was recuperating from an IED blast while on patrol in Sangin, Afghanistan in 2010. The Dday-DVD-coveray Remembered [www.thedayremembered.org] is a true life journey of a group of 3/5 Battalion Marines who were deployed in one of the hardest hit during Operation Enduring Freedom between 2010-2011. 25 Marines were killed and over 200 were severely injured. The Day Remembered is a documentary that brings together Marines, wives, moms and family members to talk about what happened and what they are doing now to recover.

We had an opportunity to help Sgt. Charlie Linville, who suffered with a lost finger and an eventual amputated foot, by producing a video for his wife to submit for a National Fatherhood Award that he was nominated for. Each of Charlies young daughters and his wife Mandi talked about why he is so special as a husband, father and friend to all. He is unselfish and outgoing, involved with many outdoor activities including golf and skiing. We worked closely with his wife to arrange a compilation of photos and video.
